Dispatcher Agent

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented truck dispatcher to dispatch our drivers to customer locations. In this role, your duties will include communicating with our customers to record their requirements, planning and adjusting routes, as well as scheduling drivers to deliver or collect freight, shipments, and packages.

To ensure success as a truck dispatcher, you should exhibit extensive experience in dispatching trucks and the ability to work under pressure. Ultimately, an outstanding truck dispatcher is someone whose organizational skills translate into exceptional freight delivery services.

Responsibilities

  • Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions

  • Scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries or collect shipments and packages.

  • Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.

  • Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.

  • Preparing dispatch documents, as well as generating freight bills and invoices.

  • Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.

  • Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.

  • Reviewing drivers’ logs, including dispatched calls and arrival times.

  • Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules.

  • Logging customer shipping schedules and complaints.

  • Receive and dispatch orders for deliveries

  • Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance

  • Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles, or other field units to appropriate locations

  • Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule

  • Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements

  • Enter data in the computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information


Skills

  • Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position

  • Fast typing with experience in data entry

  • Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations

  • Proficient in English (oral and written)

  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Active listener with excellent communication skills

  • Sound judgment and critical thinking

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in transportation or logistics would be advantageous.

  • 2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry.

  • Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations.

  • Extensive experience in customer services, as well as generating freight bills and invoices.

  • Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS), such as Samsara and Rose Rocket.

  • Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.

  • Ability to monitor drivers' logs, truck maintenance schedules, and repairs.

  • Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Non CDL Truck Driver

Experienced OTR Box Truck Driver - NO CDL Needed - Full-time

We are looking for an experienced over the road truck driver (2 years minimum) - long-distance deliveries for 26’ Box truck


Responsibilities

  • Manage freight hauling pickup and deliveries Over the Road (OTR) 7-10 days away from home - NOT LOCAL DELIVERIES

  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts

  • Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process

  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

  • Ability to operate liftgate and pallet jack and possible driver-assist needed


Compensation

  • $800 - $1200 per week / Commission 25% of Loads

  • Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Commission

  • 1099 / random drug testing

  • Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year



Skills

  • Proven work experience as an Over the Road (OTR)/ interstate truck driver - Not local routes

  • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS & ELD)

  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly

  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

  • No recent moving or driving violations

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

  • ·Valid Commercial Driver License – Copy of MVR required (3 yrs)
